About the Accounting Services Associate position

Whitlock & Company PC is a Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in Alcoa/Maryville and Pigeon Forge, TN. We are looking for an Accounting Services Associate for our Alcoa/Maryville office to join our team. The ideal candidate will have three plus years of solid experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform payroll processing, Quarterly and Annual payroll tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax, gross receipt tax and lodging tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly invoicing and maintain account receivable records.
  • Process accounts payable and reconcile monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • General ledger and adjusting journal entries for multiple clients.
  • Keep up with rules and law changes payroll and local and state taxes.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks or Accounting CS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple clients and prioritize.
